History

The Shelby Mustang story started when Carroll Shelby, a former race car driver, partnered with Ford to create a high-performance version of the regular Mustang. In 1965, he was tasked with taking the stock Mustang and turning it into a race-worthy car. Shelby's vision was to add performance modifications and a more aggressive look, transforming the Mustang into a performance car that could compete on the track and appeal to enthusiasts.
